In late 2022, I led a small group of designers in crafting a Content Design System to live alongside the Design System product designers use to design the in-app experience for Klaviyo. No content-specific guidelines existed before this, and it was written and launched in about 6 months. As we built it, we shared weekly updates with the design and product teams, gave content guidance in short videos on Slack, held larger virtual training sessions, and provided content reviews in office hours and ad hoc sessions. It was a lot of fun.
